Why do dark spots appear?

Aging, excessive UV radiation, and free radicals generate melanin. A compromised skin barrier affects the penetration rate of UV rays into the skin, making concerns about blemishes even more severe.
STEP 01
UVA ultraviolet rays penetrate the dermis, causing moisture loss and damage to elastic fibers, which leads to skin aging.
STEP 02
Formation of melanin pigment, a defensive substance, to prevent UVA rays from penetrating deep into the skin
STEP 03
The generated melanin pigment migrates to the stratum corneum, causing melasma and blemishes.
A consumption pattern of seeking only cosmetics with good coverage for #dullness that cannot be hidden even with makeup, #dark spots that make you look older

My skin is different from when I was in my 20s; now is the time for special care!

Why Melasma Treatment Is Tricky! Because What You See Is Not Everything!
The problem is melasma that starts deep within the skin, so you must care for it from within.
Since melasma is located deep within the dermis, it is difficult to cure it with a single treatment. Therefore, it must be gradually removed through multiple sessions using various equipment and management programs at a low intensity to achieve various therapeutic effects, such as skin regeneration and alleviation of melasma, without causing significant irritation to the skin.
Pigmentary disorders occurring in the epidermal layer, such as freckles, blemishes, solar lentigines, and seborrheic keratosis (age spots).
Pigmentary disorders occurring in the dermis, such as melasma, ABNOM (acquired bilateral nevus of Ota), and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Epidermal blemishes, melasma, and nevus of Ota require different lasers and treatment sessions depending on skin type. PHD Dermatology's distinguishing feature is its ability to accurately identify pigmentation and select the optimal laser for treatment.

Reacts deep within the skin to remove deep pigmentation
The laser treatments available at PHD Dermatology allow for procedures with minimal damage to the epidermal-dermal junction. Depending on the wavelength and output, they selectively target pigments to finely destroy only the pigment particles, making them effective for treating pigmentation disorders.

Break away from standardized treatments and use high-performance laser equipment optimized for melasma treatment.

We provide customized solutions using lasers that are excellent for treating melasma, tailored to the specific symptoms and treatment methods.
ND YAG 1064nm Toning (Fotona Qx-Max)
Pico Laser Toning (Piccolo Toning)
Alex Stoning (Gentle Max)
Low-power method and uniform beam result in fewer side effects and rapid skin improvement

Fotona QX-MAX, excellent for treating pigmented lesions

The Fotona laser, utilizing a Q-switched 532nm and 1064nm dual wavelength system, offers powerful efficacy in removing not only epidermal pigments but also tattoos, various dermal lesions, and intractable pigmented lesions.
It is a stable laser that is easily used for pigment destruction based on range and depth. Its patented system enables uniform laser beam irradiation, allowing for relatively long pulse durations to minimize phosphate damage caused by stimulation, and its high precision ensures excellent efficacy.

Picosecond laser irradiated in units of one trillionth of a second

Pico Laser Toning, an excellent treatment for pigmented lesions

It provides two wavelengths of 1064nm and 532nm with pulse widths of 450ps and 380ps, respectively, and is a pico laser that irradiates in units of one trillionth of a second. It enables rapid and fast treatment by breaking down pigment particles that cause photomechanical effects through microwaves that are 1,000 times shorter than nanosecond lasers.
General pigment laser
Various large pigment particles break down into small particles
Pico laser
Various coarse pigment particles are broken down into very small particles; that is, compared to general laser procedures, they are broken into smaller and finer particles, maximizing the treatment effect.
It allows for powerful and rapid deep treatment while minimizing skin irritation.

Pico Laser Toning (Piccolo Toning)

Effective for improving pigmentation disorders from the epidermis to the dermis!

Alex Toning (GentleMax) uses wavelengths with high absorption rates for pigmented lesions

GentleMax's 3G Toning utilizes a quasi-long pulse Alexandrite laser beam to effectively remove melanin pigment deep within the skin, making it effective for treating pigmented lesions such as melasma and hyperpigmentation.

2nd PROGRAM Dermal Environment Improvement Treatment
Secondary dermal environment improvement treatment
Not only skin regeneration but also improvement of the skin's internal environment
Treatments that improve the dermal environment boost the skin's natural regenerative capacity to aid collagen formation. This allows you to achieve naturally radiant skin without makeup, thanks to effects such as improved skin elasticity, reduced fine lines, increased radiance, improved pores, enhanced skin texture, and hydration. Furthermore, by increasing skin elasticity, which is a critical cause of skin aging, it helps alleviate wrinkles.
Clear skin achieved through skin barrier strengthening along with a melasma treatment laser program.

As skin regenerative capacity and resistance decline, skin tissue becomes damaged, and slowed recovery leads to continuous pigmentation. At PHD Dermatology, after analyzing the pattern, depth, and distribution of melasma, we remove only the deposited pigments using a comprehensive program that inhibits melanin-inducing cells while simultaneously promoting skin regeneration.

Silfirm X high frequency
REJURAN Healer
RF4#
Through strengthening of the skin basement membrane, removal of abnormal blood vessels, and removal of aging fibroblasts

Silfirm X for preventing melasma and improving redness

SYLFIRM X is a device that utilizes RF to deliver high-frequency heat to desired areas within the skin, allowing for simultaneous treatment of both the shallow surface and the deep layers. Unlike conventional radiofrequency devices, its Repair Mode reacts only to abnormal blood vessels in the basement membrane and dermis. By selectively treating only the overgrowth of abnormal blood vessels in lesions, it enables not only the simple removal of melasma but also improvements in skin tone and texture, and offers excellent efficacy in treating facial flushing.
Selectively coagulates the basement membrane and blood vessel walls, providing powerful effects on blemishes, skin tone, redness, and skin elasticity.
Utilizing PN components extracted from salmon that are most similar to the base composition of the human body

Rejuran Healer activates skin's healing ability and improves the skin's internal environment

PN (Polynucleotide) is a DNA fraction extracted from Korean salmon and is composed of safe, biocompatible materials. It is a colorless, transparent liquid in the form of a gel that maintains a constant viscosity; it maintains its form within the body and gradually decomposes, naturally improving facial wrinkles. Furthermore, because it greatly aids in skin cell regeneration, this procedure is highly effective not only for wrinkle improvement but also for shrinking enlarged pores and revitalizing the skin.
4 Immediate Effects! Whitening, Pore Reduction, Wrinkle Improvement, Lifting

RF4#, composed of ingredients beneficial to the skin

RF4# is a procedure that utilizes Nano-Asin Gold, developed using a patented method, as its main ingredient. By applying the principle of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and employing RF equipment and various other devices to allow effective ingredients to act on the skin, it helps improve various signs of skin aging, such as pigmentation and enlarged pores. In particular, through patented technology that leverages the spherical shape of gold nanoparticles, it enables faster and more uniform energy delivery within the skin, thereby uniformly removing pigmentation.
The stabilized, round particles receive energy uniformly when a wavelength is applied, uniformly removing pigmentation.

1:1 Custom Skin Solution

Meticulous care, highly accurate diagnosis, thorough follow-up care
Our medical team, with over 20 years of experience and know-how, understands the skin better than anyone else and handles lasers expertly to provide premium medical services in a private space.
Confidence in your skin! PHD is a medical team of medical doctors who hold a Doctor of Medicine degree among dermatologists.
Laser treatment for facial flushing requires delicate techniques, and the laser wavelength or energy must be applied differently depending on the individual's skin condition. At PHD Dermatology, we provide customized treatments tailored to each patient's skin, from diagnosis to laser procedures, through dedicated care by a Ph.D. in Medicine from Seoul National University and a board-certified dermatologist from Seoul National University Hospital.
Expect a synergistic effect through the cross-treatment of various laser devices tailored to the characteristics of each pigmentation disorder, rather than a single treatment.
Since pigmentation disorders that appear similar to the naked eye differ not only in shape but also in the depth of the skin layers and the extent of their distribution, it is advisable to employ a combination of treatments tailored to individual skin characteristics rather than relying on a single method. At PHD Dermatology, we identify the skin types of Asians, who are prone to recurrence, and combine appropriate treatment and procedural methods.
Does increasing the laser intensity improve the effect? It is necessary to proceed with appropriate treatment and procedures tailored to each individual's pigmentation type.
While treating with high laser intensity may resolve the single concern of pigmentation, it can ultimately lead to secondary conditions as the skin barrier weakens. Therefore, pigmentation treatment must combine laser therapy that precisely targets and removes only the pigment with therapies that protect the skin barrier. At PHD Dermatology, we strive to go a step further than simple pigmentation treatment to minimize the likelihood of lesions recurring.

Precautions Before and After Melasma Treatment

We provide guidance on precautions to observe before and after the procedure for effective treatment and satisfactory results.
You may apply makeup starting from the day of the procedure, but it is recommended to start the next day.
You can see even greater results by combining consistent treatments with proper lifestyle habits, and abstaining from alcohol and smoking is the best way to maintain healthy skin.
Please refrain from using hot saunas, bathhouses, or swimming pools after the procedure.
Do not intentionally remove the scabs that form after the procedure until they fall off naturally. If the scabs fall off prematurely, redness or hyperpigmentation may occur.
Redness, peeling, etc. may occur after the procedure, and the severity may vary depending on the individual.
